The 13th Gate haunted house is co-hosting the Zombie Walk.
First, participants will attend "Zombies 101" in order to learn
makeup, costuming, and zombie body language from 13th Gate
employees and Sal Lizard, the Comedy Zombie. At the end of
the panel, the zombie uprising will shamble to the Costume
Contest in the Clemons room.

On Saturday night, be in the lobby for the 3rd annual costume
contest! This year, we've added a category specifically for Star
Trek fans: Best Redshirt! Sal Lizard does stand-up as "The
Comedy Zombie" while the judges tally the votes.

discussion about the joys, terrors, pitfalls, scandals, pettiness,

Messier: Images from the Comet Hunter
A pictorial marathon of all 110 objects in the Messier Catalog, as
written by Charles Messier, the 18th century comet hunter. In
late March and early April, it is possible for a determined
observer to view the entire Messier Catalog from dusk to dawn -
but Trevor McGuire has done all the work for you.
Nerf Wars: Defend the Galactic Core
Penetrate the Great Barrier in an attempt to contact the
Cytherians, an advanced race that lives at the center of our
Galaxy. Attackers have a set amount of time to fire darts into the
box target. After the time has elapsed, the teams switch and the
attackers must beat the defenders' score. Players enter the
game with three 'lives'. When a player is tagged, they lose a life
and leave play for 15 seconds. After the time has elapsed, they
can re-enter the game by moving outside of combat and yelling
"clear". A player is permanently out when all of their lives have
been lost. Objective: Prevent opponents from hitting the target.
1 hour.
Nerf Wars: Humans vs. Zombies
A group of "survivors" attempts to outlast a "zombie outbreak" by
avoiding a growing number of "zombies". A small number of
players begin as zombies, and the rest are survivors. Survivors
can use Nerf weapons, but zombies can only tag players by
hand. If a zombie touches a human, the human becomes
"infected" and joins the zombie team. Zombies are temporarily
stunned (15 seconds) when tagged, but aren't eliminated.
Objective: Be the last survivor. 1 hour.
Nerf Wars: Mandalorians vs. Redshirts
Star Wars participants are on team "Mandalorians", and Star
Trek participants are on team "Redshirts", who each enter the
game with three 'lives'. When a player is tagged, they lose a life
and leave play for 15 seconds. After the time has elapsed, they
can re-enter the game by moving outside of combat and yelling
"clear". A player is permanently out when all of their lives have
been lost. Objective: Eliminate all cross-genre opponents. 1
hour.

When Spock, Kirk, Scott, McCoy, and Chekov beam down to
Melkot, they materialize at the O.K. Corral. The game is played
with teams consisting of two persons each, and each player is
limited to a single pistol. When a player is hit, they remove
themselves from the game for 15 seconds and don a baseball
cap. When a player wearing a cap is hit, they're permanently
eliminated from the game. If a player wearing a cap eliminates
another player wearing a cap, the shooter may remove his cap
and regain the extra "life". Objective: Eliminate all opponents. 1
hour.
Paranormal, Supernatural & Science - Oh, My!
This presentation & workshop contains over 200 photos, video
clips, and educational definitions of jargon on both paranormal
and science topics, and how they intertwine. An attempt has
been made to be open-minded without letting our brains fall out,
while promoting critical thinking skills. Audience participation is
encouraged. 2 hours.

The first proof of Einstein's Theory of General Relativity
occurred during a rare solar eclipse in 1919. It was this proof
that propelled Einstein from an obscure patent official into the
larger-than-life figure we recognize today. Join us, as we briefly
discuss the challenges, setbacks and hurdles overcome by Sir
Arthur Edington and his team of astronomers as they tried to
prove Einstein correct. 1 hour.

long line of heroes that have won the coveted the magical Medal

body formerly known as the 9th planet", followed by panel
discussion on pluto, the solar system, Percival Lowell, Clyde
Tombaugh, Walt Disney, planets, dwarf planets, and the Kuiper
Belt, as well as history & politics in astronomy & science. 1.5

adventure drama who dies violently soon after being introduced
in order to dramatize the dangerous situation experienced by the
main characters. The term originated with the classic Star Trek
TV series, where security officers wearing red shirts would
